The Little Sisters Send Us Off!
Today I spent most of the day with Little Sisters. These girls are incredible. Incredible! I went and filmed graduate Little Sisters rehearse dances they choreographed for younger Little Sisters. They will perform them in the big Cultural Show when we come back from the trek.
They were all so into it and worked so hard. They seem completely unfazed by the camera except for every once in while they would come sit beside me and look onto the LCD screen. It was only one little boy, a sibling named Gussenpani (?) who kept trying to get in the shot. He also kept pushing the girls off the swing after the rehearsal and telling them what to do even though he was at least two years younger. Hmmm. I have seen this before.
Tonight was the ’send off’ dinner. The Little Sisters welcomed Trevor back to Nepal as well as met some of their sponsors, Jack and Casey, and Trevor’s mom, Midge. It was pretty magical. I am telling you, this organization is really amazing. It felt so much like a Julia Morgan School for Girls event, with everyone involved feeling so lucky to be there and no one wanting it to end.
Me and my new friend, Yallissia. I adore her. She wants to be a nurse.
Trevor telling the girls he will see them in just 20 days.

You guys! I am finally on a computer after 5 days without in `amsterdam (so good to take an internet break, doncha think?) But the first thing I did upon arriving in `budapest (besides lots of roughhousing with Lenci) was to check in with your blog. I can’t believe you are leaving already! The girls sound amazing. As does Kathmandu. I can’t wait to hear the stories. Man, that place is lucky to have you. Safe travels, lots of metaphorical prayer flags waving for your return, full of stories and pictures. So much love,
Eleanor and Eric (and Ben and Eszther and the little squishies)

I love this blog. I love hearing about how thrilled you are, seeing your beautiful pictures, and seeing that you’re already making best friends, of course. And I love how I can tell when it’s Amy and when it’s Scott writing. Makes me miss you guys a lot. I am thinking about you both constantly! Can’t wait to hear more.

serious Squenson jones happening here. I am getting tremors of withdrawal. Must have fix of blog soon, or may be forced to read old highschool notes.
According to Martha, blog-transcriber to the mountaineering rockstars, you are back in Katmandu. After that hot rock massage, I hope you find yourself a little internet love nest and send us a little updateski! We are all breathless with anticipation!
